This Casio men's watch has a titanium case and bezel that reduces weight while maintaining the shock resistance that G-Shock watches are known for. The watch is solar powered that allows the watch to run for nine months on a full charge without further exposure to light. The watch calibrates itself via radio signals to the US atomic clock for unsurpassed accuracy. It features five daily alarms, a countdown timer, a stopwatch, auto electroluminescent backlight with Afterglow, a calendar pre-programmed until 2099, a battery power indicator, and a power saving function. A deep waved black resin band provides a secure fit and the watch is water resistant to 660 feet (200 meters). It is covered by the manufacturer's 1-year warranty.

 "Completely Satisfied" 2009-10-11
By Patent Geek (Atlanta, Georgia)
Got this watch as a backup for my dress watch...weekends, vacations, etc. It is as rugged as you would expect being a G-Shock, looks great, performs as advertised, and will probably out last all of us. I have been a long-time fan of Timex's Ironman line, but this watch has converted me over to G-Shocks. While they may cost a little more than an Ironman, it was worth it to me to get a watch that at least appears to be more rugged, is solar powered and has the atomic time sync.

 "Inaccurate" 2009-10-02
By Anthony L. Scoca (Long Island NY)
The watch has issues with automatically setting its time and its a pain to put it in a window etc. and then retreiving it in the morning. And it often does not set even in plain view of the sky. When it does auto set its always 10 second fast! It does not seem easy to manually set it either. No issues with the solar charging or other functions and the watch looks good and wears well.

 "Great V-A-L-U-E!" 2009-09-29
By D. Golden (Savannah, GA United States)
I was in the market for a sporty, sturdy watch to wear when I'm engaged in more physical or casual endeavors. The black "commando" wristwatches look pretty cool, and I was willing to spend $500+. As I began my reach this watch became one of the top contenders. What sealed the deal for me was the ease by which one can change the format, the generous size of the type and the perfect degree of illumination that the watch features when needed.

The whole precision time setting feature kind of lost on me at first, but now I both enjoy and am terrifically impressed. As I compared different watchmakers and models, it became increasingly clear to me that the Casio GW9100 offered the most bang for the buck. To date, it continues to be the best non luxury watch that I have ever owned.

 "Great Looking Watch" 2009-09-12
By Eric Stikes (Turlock, CA)
I'll add my voice to the chorus of positive reviews for this watch.

Its feature set is limited pretty much to standard timekeeping functions: time, date, alarm, countdown timer, stopwatch, and world time. That's just fine with me. I don't need to keep names and addresses in my watch, nor do I want to monitor my heartbeat, control my TV, or find my way out of the forest with it. The fact that it's solar powered and automatically synchs with the atomic clock are nice bonuses. I was pleased to see when I took the watch out of the box that it was already perfectly synched to the official U.S. atomic clock. Very cool.

For me, the number one selling point of this watch is its visual appeal. This is one tough looking timepiece. The diameter of the face is surprisingly small, but not too small, which gives it a very stout appearance. The titanium case accents the black plastic elements beautifully (and matches my recently acquired titanium spork perfectly). The display is relatively uncluttered and the digits are large and easy to read.

If you're looking for something with a little more muscle than the G-Shock Classic, you absolutely will not regret picking up a Gulfman. Highly recommended.

 "Great practical watch" 2009-09-09
By D. Nguyen (Palo Alto, CA USA)
If you're looking for a very rugged, practical (vs. style), no-maintenance watch, this should be a strong consideration. Solar powered, automatic atomic time setting, rugged, water proof. I've had it for a few months including travel. Initially took a couple of days to figure out the atomic time keeping, but once done there are no more worries about recalibration or replacing any battery.
